Welcome to the Bulkington WI.

We are a local branch of the National Federation of Women’s Institutes, the largest voluntary women’s organisation in the UK. We are a non-political group made up of women of all generations and backgrounds.

Whether you want to learn a new skill, improve your mental health, develop new friendships, give yourself a voice individually and collectively, or just have some ‘me’ time, Bulkington Wi is offering you an opportunity to thrive.

There a wide range of activities undertaken during the year, including guest speakers, outings, social evenings and parties. We also support local events such as the Ryton Christmas Tree Festival, Remembrance Sunday and our local Foodbank. We have established a Choir and a Community Garden in the village.

We pride ourselves on being a welcoming and caring group for any age, providing friendship and fellowship for all. Whatever we are doing we want you to find fun and laughter and a feeling of belonging.
